How We Pack
Vintage watches are fragile and often irreplaceable. We don't treat them like commodity goods. Every watch is wrapped in protective materials, cushioned against impact, and placed in a rigid outer box before it ships. We've shipped hundreds of pieces — nothing has arrived damaged, and we intend to keep it that way.
If your order includes original box and papers, those are packaged separately within the outer shipping box and protected accordingly.
Carriers & Tracking
We ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground for domestic orders, depending on value and size. International shipments go via USPS Priority Mail International or UPS Worldwide. Every shipment includes a tracking number.
Tracking is sent to the email or contact method on file as soon as the label is created — typically the same day or morning of dispatch. If you haven't received tracking after 2 business days from payment, reach out and we'll sort it out immediately.
Shipping Insurance
All shipments are insured for the full declared sale value. This covers loss or damage in transit. If a package arrives damaged, do not throw anything away — keep all original packaging materials and document the damage with photos. Contact us immediately and we will file the claim on your behalf and make it right.
One thing to know: Insurance claims through carriers can take time to process. We'll stay in communication throughout and won't leave you in the dark waiting for a resolution.
Handling Time
Orders ship within 1–2 business days of confirmed payment. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays. Orders placed after 2 PM EST Friday will typically ship the following Monday.
If there is ever an unexpected delay — illness, weather, anything — we'll contact you directly and give you an honest updated timeline. You won't just be waiting with no information.
Domestic Shipping (US)
USPS Priority Mail typically delivers in 1–3 business days after dispatch to most US addresses. UPS Ground delivers in 1–5 business days depending on distance from our location in South Carolina. Expedited shipping is available on request — reach out before purchase and we can quote you.
International Shipping
We ship internationally and have done so successfully to buyers across Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan. International buyers are solely responsible for:
- Any import duties, customs fees, or taxes assessed at the destination country
- Compliance with their country's watch import regulations
- Extended delivery timelines due to customs processing
We cannot mark packages as "gift" or declare a false value to avoid customs fees. All packages are declared accurately with the full sale value. This protects both parties and is required by law.

Marketplace Purchases (eBay / Whatnot)
Orders placed through eBay or Whatnot ship under those platforms' shipping terms, which are consistent with this policy. Tracking is uploaded to each platform immediately upon dispatch. Platform buyer protections remain in full effect alongside our own policies.
Questions About Your Order
If your tracking hasn't updated in more than 3 business days, if your package appears lost, or if you receive something that wasn't packed correctly — contact us directly at email@deathanddials.com or via the contact form. We respond within 24 hours and we handle shipping issues personally.
