FAQ
Questions answered honestly.
Everything you need to know before you buy, sell, or reach out.
Buying
Every watch we sell has been handled and authenticated by us directly. We research each piece against known references — dial printing, case proportions, movement signatures, and known era markers. If there's any uncertainty about a component, we say so in the listing. We don't sell watches we can't stand behind.
Always. Message us on Instagram or through the contact form with the watch you're interested in and tell us what you want to see — crown, caseback, movement, specific wear areas. We'll send them directly. Buying vintage unseen takes trust, and we earn that through transparency.
We sell through eBay, Whatnot, and direct via Instagram DM. eBay gives you platform buyer protection. Whatnot is where we run live drops with real-time Q&A. Instagram is the fastest path for direct negotiation and sourcing requests. All three are active.
On eBay listings, the Best Offer button is there for a reason — use it. For direct sales, reasonable offers are always welcome. We won't lowball you back or string you along. If a price works, it works. If it doesn't, we'll tell you straight.
Short holds are possible for serious buyers — typically 24–48 hours. We don't hold indefinitely, and we won't pull a watch off the market for a maybe. If you're serious, reach out directly and let's work it out.
Condition & Authenticity
Every listing includes an honest condition summary — case wear, dial integrity, crystal condition, crown function, and timekeeping accuracy. We don't use vague grades like "good" without explaining what that means for a specific piece. If a lume pip is missing or the case has been polished, that's in the listing. We'd rather lose a sale than sell something under false pretenses.
Yes — and any known replacements are disclosed. If a crown has been swapped, we say so. If a crystal is aftermarket, it's noted. We research each watch against period-correct references. If we're uncertain about a component's originality, that uncertainty is stated clearly in the listing, not buried or omitted.
Not always — and that's accurate to how vintage watches actually trade. Service history, when known, is listed. Mechanical function (running, stopping, accuracy) is noted for every piece. We don't send out watches that don't run without saying so. If a watch needs a service, that's disclosed and reflected in the price.
For pieces from the 1930s–1980s, "original" condition means something different than modern watches. We assess case sharpness (has it been polished?), dial aging (patina vs. damage), crystal clarity, and movement condition. A watch with honest wear and original parts often outranks a polished-to-death example that's lost its character. We note what matters to a collector.
Shipping & Returns
Every watch ships with full tracking and is packaged to actually protect a vintage timepiece — not just stuffed in a padded envelope. All shipments are insured for their full sale value. If something goes wrong in transit, we handle it. See our full Shipping Policy for details.
Orders ship within 1–2 business days of confirmed payment. You'll receive tracking as soon as the label is created. If anything delays your shipment, we'll reach out proactively — you won't be left guessing.
Yes — with a note. International buyers are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, or VAT at their destination. We'll mark packages accurately. Delivery times vary by country and carrier. Reach out before purchasing if you have questions about your specific location.
Returns are accepted within 3 days of confirmed delivery if the watch substantially misrepresents what was described. We're thorough in our listings, so this rarely comes up — but if it does, we make it right. Buyer's remorse is not a valid return reason. Read the full policy on our Returns & Refunds page.
Selling & Trading
American and European vintage from roughly 1930–1980 is the sweet spot. Hamilton, Bulova, Elgin, Benrus, Longines, Omega, Enicar, Universal Genève, Girard-Perregaux, and similar makers. Interesting dials, all-original examples, and mechanical watches in working order. We're not the right buyer for battery-powered fashion watches or heavily damaged cases.
Photos help most: dial front, caseback, crown side, and any markings or text you can read clearly. Include what you know about the history — where it came from, if it runs, any known service history. The more context you give us, the faster and more accurate our assessment.
Usually within 24–48 hours. If we need more information before making an offer, we'll ask. If it's not something we can take on, we'll tell you straight — and we'll try to point you toward a better outlet if we know one.
Yes, for the right watches. Box and papers add meaningful value on collectible Omega, Longines, and certain American pieces. For everyday vintage, they're a nice bonus but not a make-or-break. Either way, mention it when you reach out — it's useful context.
